Between Becoming

Somewhere between applications and midnight light, between edits that stretch far into the night,I feel a quiet confidence start to grow—not only in the scores beside my name, but in the words I’ve written and the truths they now show.I am thrilled, I am nervous, I am bright with delight, afraid and excited, yet ready to fight.
And strangely enough, I’m not scared anymore if this winding road circles back like before, because I’ve learned something precious in time spent between—that waiting is living, not simply unseen. The space that remains while the future takes form is a place where the heart quietly transforms.
Travel has opened a door to the world; new faces appear like bright flags unfurled.Conversations with strangers turn quickly to friends, and stories grow longer the later night bends. There are dinners that linger and laughter that flows, dates that become tales that everyone knows, and kindness that finds me in ways I never expected—each moment reminding me how deeply we’re connected.
Ideas now drift in like wind through a breeze, more freely than ever, arriving with ease. To wake with the freedom to go where I please, to move with the rhythm of life as it sees—what a privilege it is simply to be, to walk through the world with curiosity.
And soon another horizon begins to appear, a journey to Africa drawing near. Not as a savior, not claiming I know, but eager to listen and willing to grow. To see what my eyes must learn to perceive, to feel what the heart must first believe, to stand in new places and learn how to be adaptable, patient, and quietly free.
Because deep in my spirit a wish still remains—to ease someone’s sorrow, to soften their pains. Not loudly proclaimed, not shining in fame, but gently and honestly all the same.I am not there yet, but I’ll find my way; with time and with courage, I’ll rise one day.
So slowly I’m stepping back into the light, letting go of shadows that once held me tight.Unfollowing voices that clouded my view, and trusting my heart to guide me through. The world may feel heavy, uncertain and wide, and darkness may visit from time to time inside, but I remember the truth that carries me through—
that I am a light, and so are you.
So forward I move, with purpose and grace, keeping a steady and hopeful pace, to stay vibrant and healthy, to live as I must, to follow my calling with patience and trust.
